The Pre-Instrumental Learning Path (PAPS) represents an innovative educational proposal based on the integration of cognitive processes and the relational dimension. This person-centered approach, which focuses on potential rather than deficits, aims to strengthen the cognitive, affective, and motivational prerequisites necessary for instrumental acquisition, fostering autonomy in cognitive strategies. The article reflects on the role of the socio-pedagogical educator in “borderline contexts,” where biological fragility meets educational challenges, proposing PAPS as an operational tool to mediate learning and promote inclusion by enhancing human potential.
